# There are three main theories of stagnation I’ve tried to form the theories to be as orthogonal as possible, but as much as we might like there to be fully orthogonal theories, we’re not going to get there. However, it does seem useful to separate ideas about stagnation into useful buckets because each bucket suggests a slightly different class of intervention.
