# Governments regularly screw up technological adoption
This is especially true in the US. I assume it has to do with some combination of contractors, the fact that there is no single person in charge.

* 2019 Iowa Democratic Primary debacle with the voting app.
* Martin needing to worry about getting sued because of GDPR when trying to get tracking off the ground.
* Healthcare.gov example.
