# Evidence either implicitly or explicitly involves a critical path
[[Projects need to build narratives of perceived progress on top of pieces of evidence]]. Narratives are just causality stories — in high uncertainty situations narratives are how we connect inputs and outputs. [[Narratives are how we deal with uncertainty]]. In other words, the narratives are imagined [[Critical path]]. When a project leader is presenting evidence for the trajectory in their narrative, that evidence is either implicitly or explicitly fitting into a critical path.
