# DARPA has a 5-10 percent program success rate According to [[DARPA - Enabling Technical Innovation]], only five or ten out of every hundred programs meet their goals and are transitioned to the user community. That’s a 5-10% success rate. A former DSO Director confirmed that their success rate was about one in seven, which is slightly higher.
