# Conversations are better at demystifying than written material
They enable a feedback loop for figuring out where there is mismatched context. When something is mystifying you often don’t have the words to describe it so any questions you ask would inherently require clarification.
This would suggest that expecting everything to happen via written communication when people are attempting to get into a shared context is problematic.
